  • Bib pickup: Friday, October 13, 2023, at Common Block Brewing, 312 E 4th St, Medford, 4 pm to 8 pm

  • Bus transportation to the start of the marathon and the half marathon:
    • Buses will be located in front of the Middleford parking garage on 6th Street between North Bartlett and Riverside.
      • Buses to the Marathon Start:
        • The first bus leaves at 5:35 am;
        • The last bus for the marathon leaves at 5:50 am.
      • Buses to the Half-Marathon Start:
        • The first bus leaves at 7:00 am;
        • The last bus for the Half-Marathon leaves at 7:20 am.

If you choose to drive to the start of either race, there will be NO transportation back to your car. There is no parking at the half-marathon start.

Bib Pickup

Bib pickup is from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Common Block Brewing312 E 4th St, Medford, Oregon.

Enjoy a pre-race meal or beer at Common Block Brewing after you pick up your race materials.

Race Morning

Arrival Time

Bus transportation to the start of the marathon begins at 5:35 am. Transportation to the start of the half marathon begins at 7:00 am. The last bus for the marathon leaves at 5:50 am; the last bus for the half leaves at 7:20 am. Buses will be located in front of the parking garage on 6th Street between Bartlett and Riverside

Any vehicles parking at Emigrant Lake will have to pay $7.00. There will be no ride provided back to the start to pick up your car if you park at the lake. There is no parking available near the start of the half marathon. We encourage everyone to ride the bus.

Weather

Although conditions vary greatly from year to year, historical temperature averages for race day are a low of 45 and a high of 65 degrees. The historical chance of precipitation on race day is roughly 20%.

Start Line

Marathon

The marathon starts at 6:50 a.m at Emigrant Lake County Park (42.15665, -122.618061). Porta-potties will be available at the start. We will also have a bag drop for you if you wish to bring warm gear to the start. Drop bags will be available at packet pickup. We’ll have a sign for drop bags at each start line. Bib tags with bib numbers will be attached to drop bags for pickup at the finish. Bags must be dropped 30 minutes prior to start time. Runners should not leave valuable items in drop bags. To prevent theft, runners will not be allowed in the drop-bag pickup area.

Half Marathon

The half marathon starts at 8:00 am at Clearwater Subdivision in Talent (42.247439,-122.785547). No parking is available. Porta-potties will be available at the start. We will also have a bag drop for you if you wish to bring warm gear to the start.

10k

The 10k starts at 9:00 am at Bear Creek Park (42.319231, -122.852874) in Medford.

Adult 65+ 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

The 65+ adult 1-mile fun run/walk starts at the marathon finish line in downtown Medford. Limited to adults 65 and over.

Kids 1-Mile

The kids’ race starts at 10:30 am at the corner of East 6th St and North Bartlett St in Medford. The kids will run southwest on East 6th St. Then follow the race course to the finish line in Pear Blossom Park.  There will be a gun start and chip timing at the finish. Limited to children under 13 years of age.

Finish Line

The finish line is located at Pear Blossom Park in downtown Medford. Family, friends, and the local community are invited to cheer in runners as they cross the finish line, starting at approximately 8:45 am.

Course Information

FULL: The marathon begins at Emigrant Lake County Park (42.15665, -122.783977) in Ashland, Oregon, continues on the Bear Creek Greenway, and ends at Pear Blossom Park in downtown Medford.  Shuttle buses will take you to the start from downtown Medford.

Aid Stations

FULL: You will find 13 aid stations along the course. Portapotties will be at the start of each event, finish, and at each aid station.  All aid stations will have water and an electrolyte drink and toilet paper. Energy gel and fruit will be available at aid stations #3, 7, 10 and 13.

HALF: Portapotties will be at the start of each event, finish, and at each aid station.  All aid stations will have water and an electrolyte drink and toilet paper. Energy gel and fruit will be available at aid stations #7, 10 and 13.

10k: You will find aid stations along the course. All aid stations will have water and an electrolyte drink and toilet paper. Energy gel and fruit will be available at aid stations #10 and 13.

MEDICAL: Medics from our title sponsor Providence Health and Services will be set up at aid station #12 and on the course and roaming, looking for opportunities to help.

Time Limit

You are welcome to complete the race at your own pace, but aid stations and police support will be withdrawn after 1:10 p.m. Official timing ends 6 hours after the race begins.
