Shuttle Bus Schedule

All buses load in the main parking lot at the Expo, over by the race finish — get directions to the Expo. Look for the bus signs at the entrance. It's the same place you finish, so ride the bus and your car is already parked at the finish line. Each bus makes one trip; there is no second run, and no buses run back to the start.

Marathon

Start: 7:30 a.m. at Emigrant Lake County Park  ·  Check-in and gear drop close at 7:15 a.m.

Buses leave the Expo at

5:15  ·  5:25  ·  5:35  ·  5:40  ·  5:45 a.m.

They arrive at the start about 30 minutes later — the first at 5:43, the last at 6:13.

Last bus: 5:45 a.m. It leaves on time, it may be full, and no other ride will be provided after it. Plan on an earlier one.

Collecting your bib at the start? Take the 5:15 bus.

Half Marathon

Start: 8:00 a.m. at Blue Heron Park, Phoenix  ·  Check-in and gear drop close at 7:45 a.m.

Buses leave the Expo at

6:30  ·  6:35  ·  6:40  ·  6:45  ·  6:50  ·  7:00 a.m.

They arrive at the start about 15 minutes later — the first at 6:43, the last at 7:13.

Start: 8:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Park, Medford — south lot off Highland Dr  ·  Check-in and gear drop close at 7:45 a.m.

Buses leave the Expo at

They arrive at the start about 15 minutes later — 6:15, 6:45 and 7:15.

Last bus: 7:00 a.m. It leaves on time, it may be full, and no other ride will be provided after it. Plan on an earlier one.

Collecting your bib at the start? Take the 6:00 or 6:30 bus.

The half marathon and 10K buses leave from separate lines — check the destination sign before you board. If you drive to any of the starts, there is NO transportation back to your car.

Packet Pickup — Bibs and Shirts

 

No same-day registration

Packet pickup is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Common Block Brewing, 315 E 5th St, Medford, Oregon. You collect your bib, your race shirt and your gear bag together at packet pickup on Friday.

Vehicle access to Common Block is from Apple St, off 5th St only.

A free beer on Common Block

Common Block Brewing is giving every runner a free beer. Just show them your bib — Friday evening at packet pickup, or after you finish on Saturday. Either one.

Can't make Friday packet pickup?

Your bib will be waiting at your own start line on race morning. Look for the late packet pickup table on the way in from the bus drop, and take an early bus to leave yourself time.

Your shirt will be at the finish line at the Expo. Shirts are not available at the start lines — collect yours after you finish.

Race Morning

Arrival Time

See the Shuttle Bus Schedule above for your race. If you're collecting your bib at the start, take the earliest bus for your race.

Vehicles parking at Emigrant Lake pay the $6.00 Jackson County day-use fee. No ride is provided back to Emigrant Lake to pick up your car. We encourage everyone to park at the Expo and ride the bus.

Weather

Conditions vary a lot from year to year. Historical averages for race day are a low in the low 40s and a high around 70°F. The marathon start at Emigrant Lake sits higher than the valley floor and will be colder at 7:30. The historical chance of rain on race day is roughly 20%.

Start Line

Marathon

The marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. at Emigrant Lake County Park. Porta-potties and park restrooms are available at the start.

The first miles run along Highway 66, which stays open to traffic. This is not a closed course, so stay aware of your surroundings.

Gear bag drop: Bring warm gear to the start if you like. Gear bags are handed out at packet pickup, and each bag is tagged with your bib number. Look for the gear bag sign at the start. Bags must be dropped by 7:15 a.m. You'll collect yours at the finish. Please don't put valuables in your bag. To prevent theft, runners are not allowed in the gear bag pickup area.

Half Marathon

The half marathon starts at 8:00 a.m. at Blue Heron Park in Phoenix. Porta-potties are available at the start. The gear bag drop works the same way as at the marathon start. Bags must be dropped by 7:45 a.m.

The half is an out-and-back. You run east on the Greenway for about 1.2 miles to the turnaround, then back past the start and on to the finish. Watch for the turnaround sign and the orange arrow painted on the path.

10K

The 10K starts at 8:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Park in Medford. Buses drop off at the park's south lot, off Highland Drive. Porta-potties and park restrooms are available at the start. The gear bag drop works the same way as at the marathon start. Bags must be dropped by 7:45 a.m.

Kids 1-Mile

The kids' race starts at 11:00 a.m. at the finish line at the Expo. Kids run an out-and-back mile and finish at the same spot. There's a gun start and a chip-timed finish. Entries are limited to children under 13.

Finish Line

The finish line is at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point. Family, friends, and the local community are invited to cheer runners across the line. Please note that spectators are not allowed inside the runners' barricaded chute. We expect the first runners at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The Award Ceremony is at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the Expo

Course Information

MARATHON: Starts at Emigrant Lake County Park near Ashland. The first miles run along Highway 66 (open to traffic), then the course joins the Bear Creek Greenway and finishes at the Expo in Central Point. Shuttle buses take you to the start from the Expo.

HALF: Starts at Blue Heron Park in Phoenix with a 1.2-mile out-and-back east on the Greenway, then follows the Bear Creek Greenway to the Expo in Central Point. Shuttle buses take you to the start from the Expo.

10K: Starts at Bear Creek Park in Medford and follows the Bear Creek Greenway to the Expo in Central Point. It shares the final 6.2 miles of the marathon course. Shuttle buses take you to the start from the Expo.

KIDS 1-MILE: An out-and-back mile from the finish line at the Expo, starting at 11:00 a.m.

Aid Stations

Every aid station has water and Hammer HEED electrolyte drink, plus first aid.

MARATHON — 11 aid stations at miles 1.8, 3.2, 8.1, 10.6, 12.6, 15.6, 16.8, 20.4, 21.3, 23.3 and 25.3. The longest gaps are 4.9 miles (mile 3.2 to 8.1) and 3.6 miles (mile 16.8 to 20.4), so we recommend carrying your own water and nutrition. Porta-potties are at 10 of the 11 stations — the first station at mile 1.8 has none, but the start line does.

HALF — 6 aid stations, with porta-potties at every station, at the start and at the finish.

10K — aid at the start plus 3 on course, with porta-potties at every station, at the start and at the finish.

MEDICAL: There's first aid at every aid station and medical staff at the finish line. In an emergency, call 911.

Time Limit

The marathon has a six-hour time limit, and the course closes at 1:30 p.m. To stay within it, reach Blue Heron Park (mile 15.6) by 11:05 a.m.

Aid stations before Blue Heron close on a schedule. The last of them is Lynn Newbry Park at mile 12.6 — if you're running near the cutoff, fill up there, because the next station is three miles away. From Blue Heron to the finish, aid stations stay open until the course sweep passes them, and the finish line stays open until the sweep comes in.

The half marathon and 10K have no cutoff.

Awards

All finishers receive a medal at the finish line. Race shirts are collected at packet pickup on Friday — if you miss Friday packet pickup, your shirt will be waiting for you at the finish.

Overall and age-group awards are presented at the award ceremony, which begins at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the Expo.
